A native of Brazil, the organist Dr. Handel Cecilio holds a doctorate from the State University of Campinas – UNICAMP & University of Coimbra in Portugal. In addition to his work as a concert organist he was professor at State University of Minas Gerais UEMG and at the Baptist Theological Seminary of Minas Gerais (liturgy and music) and is a composer and musicologist. He is organist at The First Presbyterian Church in Belo Horizonte. The program will include works by Handel, Bach, Gordon Young, Brazilian composers Amaral Vieira and Claudio Santoro and two pieces by Dr. Cecilio himself. Trumpeter Rob LePage and organist Judith Conrad will assist. There will also be three Thanksgiving Day’s hymns for all to sing.

A light lunch will be served in front of the church after the concert / Free — donations accepted for Partners in Health
