I was very pleased and honored to learn that my composition “Baião (Baion for Organ)” was performed at this graduation concert in Straubing-Germany. This piece is part of the “Brazilian Suite for Organ”, which at the moment, is not yet finalized. My sincere thanks to the organist Prof. Waltraud Götz-Rigaud.

Curriculum vitae

Waltraud Götz-Rigaud

  • Born in 1962 in Griesbach im Rottal, she completed her high school education in 1981 with the Abitur at the Gymnasium Pocking.
  • From 1978 to 2008 she was organist at the Heilig-Geist-Kirche Bad Füssing.\
  • In November 1981, after passing the entrance examination, she began her studies at the State Academy of Music in Munich in the subjects of school music for the teaching profession at grammar schools, Catholic church music (A-Diploma) and main subject organ.
  • 1991 graduated with a master class diploma (her organ teacher was Prof. Martha Schuster).
  • 1993 2nd state examination for the teaching profession at secondary schools,
  • from 1994 to 2002 music teacher at Comenius-Gymnasium Deggendorf with the direction of the Great Choir.
  • Since 2002 music teacher at the Anton-Bruckner-Gymnasium Straubing.
  • 1995 Foundation of the Comenius Chamber Choir,
  • 2004 foundation of the Anton-Bruckner-Vocalensemble;
  • since then regular concert engagements at home and abroad
  • Since 1997 vocal studies with Miyase Kaptan with numerous concert appearances.
  • Since 2005 vocal studies with Heinrich Lüneburg.
  • Since 2010 collaboration with Norbert Ziegler in the ensemble “Più – che – due”.
  • (Waltraud Götz-Rigaud, soprano and organ; Norbert Ziegler, trumpet and organ).
  • Regular concert engagements, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician, made the artist well known at home and abroad. Concerts in Germany, France, Austria, Spain and Portugal. Radio recordings at RDP-Norte (Portugal) at the Jann organ in the cathedral of Porto.
